Experience mountain magic with majestic panoramic views from the backroads of the sierras. A 4X4 Landrover jeep tour is the perfect oppurtunity to travel safley through the splendid mountains and valleys admiring spanish nature and scenery.
Landrover tours offer a collection from your accomodation then the journey begins travelling through white washed villages in the area known as the sierras las nieves. Some of the most dramatic landscape can be seen throughout this journey and photograph oppurtunities are available on route.
As we meander through the vallies we head in a direction of a highly recognised Bodega/Winery.The Bodega is purley organic, placed in the foothills of Ronda offering some breathtaking views. The tour involves a walk within the gardens and vineyards with a guide introducing and explaining the principles involved in producing organic wines. Then following through into the industrial area where again an explanation of how the grapes are harvested, the juice extracted and stored. At this point you will be ready and knowledgable to taste the wines. The wine tasting takes place in an area called the cellar door, where you can sample some of the award winning fruity wines with spanish hams and cheese, very typical of the area. The Tour duration is 1hr30mins.
Once we have toured the Bodega we now head to Ronda. This town is steeped in history with ruins and architecture to date its history. Ronda is divided into the new and the old town and its the old town we head to. With museums covering Hunting, wine producing and even bandits there is something to suit everyone here. The old town has lots of very typical old streets each offering small curiosity shops selling local foods, arts and crafts and wines. Once in ronda we park the landrover and you are walked to the old town area and the local interests are pointed out and then time is allocated for you to go and at your own pleasure browse the area or museums. Also time is given for lunch. As everyones tastes differ lunch is not included in the tour but information of all the best eatries are provided.
The return journey back is equally as stunning. As the name suggests sierra de las nieves, snow, we are very high up with panoramic views. Birdlife and wildlife is all around so bring your binoculars and cameras.The total cost of the tours are
